Empathy skills training helps people understand their “judgement calls”. Maybe the levels of empathy at work are a little under or over.
Sometimes people use levels of empathy as judgement sticks. That means their empathy level is correct and yours is wrong. It’s very complex. On a continuum there is a lot of space between high levels of empathy and zero levels of empathy, Indeed some people have negative levels of empathy. Here’s an interesting insight. You would think that if a person met the donor who gave them a kidney that they would be eternally grateful. You’d be wrong as studies have shown. Some people don’t process it like that. So book in a training course, and you’ll never be the same again as we delve into the world of “empathy”.
