In-House Training Workshops
We come to you. We tailor it to your people. And we back it with a guarantee.
What Makes PTN Different
You get referred specialists, not a platform
We have 24 experienced facilitators in our network, each one personally recommended by Senior Leaders and Managers from Australia's top companies. Referral is only the start. Every facilitator also goes through a portfolio review, an interview, reference checks and a trial engagement before they are part of the network. If they stop consistently delivering, they stop being part of the network.
We back it with a guarantee
We can predict your group's evaluation scores before we walk in the room. Our experience delivering similar programs to similar audiences has given us a clear understanding of what to expect. If two or more participants score below that prediction, 65% of your investment is refundable. It is a real guarantee backed by real data, not fine print.
We are Australian owned and operated
Over 90% of the large consultancy firms in Australia have a US or UK origin. We do not. Every dollar you spend with us stays here and employs our team, our instructional designers and our facilitators.
We build it around you
Your facilitator is chosen for their alignment with your organisation's culture and needs, not because they happen to be available. Before the session, they will contact you directly to understand your context. Your workbook is designed by our instructional designers and produced before the session. Your real scenarios go into the room.
You get the full picture afterwards
At the end of every workshop you receive a detailed evaluation report with qualitative and quantitative data, CPD-accredited certificates for every participant, and a free PTN leadership book for your people to keep. You get something concrete to show internally, not just a good feeling about the day.
What We Cover
More than 300 workshops across leadership, management, communication, conflict, customer service, workplace behaviour, wellbeing and more. If what you need is not in the catalogue, our instructional designers will build it from scratch.
Popular areas include:
- Leadership and management
- Dealing with difficult people and conflict
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service
- Psychosocial hazards and workplace behaviour
- Resilience and wellbeing
- Coaching skills for managers
- Sales and commercial skills for technical people
Durations and Formats
1-hour sessions
For a focused hit on a specific topic. Good for lunchtime sessions, team meetings, or the start of a longer program. Also used as a "culture creator" when run as a monthly series.
2-hour sessions
More space to practise and apply. Common for teams who want a single skill developed without losing a full day.
Half-day
The sweet spot for short, sharp, outcome-focused training. Tailored to two or three specific topics rather than a full syllabus.
Full-day
The traditional workshop format. Enough time to build on topics through the day, with reflection, discussion and practice built in.
Multi-day
For more complex capability building or when several groups need to be rotated through.
Long-term program development
For organisations with a bigger goal. We design and deliver capability frameworks that stretch across months or years, often with coaching, assessments and reinforcement layered in. A recent example is our two-tier capability framework built for a medical technology client. This combines foundation-level and advanced-level programs for their technical staff.
Our Approach: The 5Cs
Connection
Before we do anything else, your facilitator contacts you to understand what is going on, who the audience is, and what you need people to walk away with.
Consensus
We work with you to agree on what the program needs to deliver. You know your organisation better than we do. We make sure we are solving the right problem before we start designing.
Customisation
We tailor the content, the examples and the scenarios to your workplace. If your team deals with a specific kind of customer, conflict, or challenge, that is what goes in the room.
Capability Development
Participants leave with tools they can use on Monday morning, not just frameworks to think about.
Change
The aim is lasting behavioural change, not a good day out of the office.
What You Can Expect From Your Facilitator
Every facilitator is matched to your organisation on sector experience, cultural fit, and the specific challenge you are working on. On the day:
- They will arrive 30 minutes before start time
- The workshop will not run over time
- They will not read slides (as we use minimal slides anyway)
- The frameworks used are academically sound, not fly-by-night models
- They will have real stories from your sector that your people can relate to
- They will ask good questions and generate real discussion
How It Works
Tell us what you need
Send us a rough brief: topic, audience, numbers, timing. Our quote will be the fastest you receive.
We match the right facilitator
We propose a facilitator based on your industry, your audience and the challenge. You can speak to them before committing.
We tailor the content
Our instructional designers customise the program to your context. Professional workbooks are produced before the session. We just need final participant numbers seven days out.
We deliver
Your facilitator arrives early, runs the session, and keeps things on time. You focus on your people.
You get the full picture afterwards
A detailed evaluation report. CPD certificates. A complimentary refresher with the same facilitator two to three months later at no extra cost. A free PTN leadership book for every participant.
After the Workshop
Training is an investment, and we want to make sure it holds.
Two or three months after the session, your group can come back for a complimentary refresher with the same facilitator. No charge. For two weeks after the training, any participant can call our office directly to talk through something they did not want to raise in the room. Also no charge.
For around 20% of participants, coaching is the right next step. It is not for everyone, but for the right people it is where the real change happens. Think of it as the optional icing on top.

What Our Clients Say
We organised a series of “Workplace Resilience” courses In Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra. The feedback was excellent from all states. It was refreshing to find a national training company that can deliver consistent high-quality programs. Preferred Training Networks were also very flexible and professional – excellent.
Buying in training is often like buying clothes on line. They often don’t fit or suit you. You are left feeling disappointed. I can honestly say that this has never been the case with PT. Each time we require their assistance they are able to customise sessions to meet our exact needs. Their facilitators link with us to ensure learning and development for the organisation does not end with the training day. Together we can then achieve maximum return on investment.
