Occupational Violence Awareness training helps organisations understand that violence and aggression rarely occur without warning. These behaviours are often preceded by emotional triggers, communication breakdowns, or unresolved conflict. This course supports participants in recognising the psychology behind aggressive behaviour and how everyday interactions can either escalate a situation or help reduce risk.
Participants learn how to build rapport in difficult interactions, use reflective listening, and substitute language that reduces hostility rather than fuels it. The course also addresses workplace bullying, emotional intelligence, and the importance of structured debriefing after an incident.
Importantly, the program brings participants up to date with relevant legislation and employer responsibilities around preventing and managing occupational violence.
