Situational awareness is not just about paying attention – it’s about understanding what’s happening around you, identifying potential risks, and making clear decisions in the moment.
This course focuses on building awareness, perception, and judgement in environments where conditions can change quickly. Participants learn how to identify early warning signs, interpret behavioural cues, and adapt their level of awareness based on context and surroundings.
The program also emphasises emotional control. Staying calm under pressure is essential when responding to risk, and participants develop strategies to manage their reactions while maintaining focus and clarity.
Realistic scenarios and practical discussions are used throughout the session to ensure participants can apply what they learn immediately in their day-to-day roles.
In fast-paced and unpredictable work environments, the ability to recognise risk early can make all the difference. Whether dealing with challenging behaviours, dynamic surroundings, or high-pressure situations, situational awareness is a critical skill for maintaining safety and control.
The Situational Awareness Training course by Preferred Training Networks equips participants with the skills to observe, assess, and respond to risks effectively. This practical workshop helps staff stay alert without becoming overwhelmed, improving both safety and decision-making in real-world situations.
